  • Friday is mocktail day 💃 🍹 feel like something fresh and delicious that won’t give you a headache the next morning, move on from sugary sodas and find places that offer proper drinks for those who prefer the non-alcoholic options (like @americanbartorni). Also these days I’m legit scared of hangovers because they make me feel like a turd and also they last what feels like ca. 5 weeks. It’s true what they say, pushing 30 and your fears change. .   • Today it’s friends day! #ystävänpäivä is the Finnish way to celebrate the people in your life. They were way ahead before Galentine’s and Palentine’s day became a thing. One nice way to spend time together and to toast to your friendships is by making some delicious mocktails - so I thought I’d share my favourite recipe with you guys.   • Oh boy was I having a bad morning! Starting with silly dreams of arguments and missing boats to Stockholm, running out of oat milk for coffee, running out of breakfast porridge, being very confused with some client business and I was just so forking tired, what’s happening! Mainly I’m hangry and whiny because of it. But there’s some pretty snowflakes outside and it looks nicer again so that’s that. Hope you’re all having a better start into this fine Wednesday my friends. . 📸 @flyingsharkbear
  • Burger cravings anyone? The Beyond Burger is probably the closest thing to meat while not being meat. The looks, the feel - so juicy and tender and I mean -look at it. I could totally sell this to my dad and he would buy that this is a beef burger. Well, it’s not. It’s actually made from pea protein and some beets for colour, and a true alternative for meat eaters whose main issue is the feel and consistency of it. @scandicsuomi are the first hotels in Finland who are offering the @beyondmeat burger in all their restaurants, and it’s great to see that they are jumping on the train. I was kindly invited by @alexalexgalaxy and #ravintolamas to test the burger just before it got on all the menus. Definitely a go from me - also now I really want a burger. .   • Bright winter days make me so happy (as per this photo which captures that in its essence) but this messy business we have going on in Helsinki lately is very much not fun. This isn’t February for me, usually I need to get out of the country when it’s an ice and slush fest in the end of March. But not now.   • I felt somehow really withdrawn this week, not sure why. Maybe it’s the lack of sun the last few days, and yesterday I left the house too late and missed the few moments of blue sky. Luckily I was invited to join a few pretty cool things this week too, so getting out of the house doing fun things helps for sure. I’m keeping my fingers crossed for another few of those glorious winter days though, there’s nothing like it for the soul and mood. Happy Friday!
  • This magical moment from last Sunday really left an impression on me. This is my ninth (!) winter in Finland and I’m blown away by the beauty of the Nordic winter every time again. But especially this peaceful moment with the glorious light and all the happy people around me, the snow crunching under my feet. I could go on. .
